Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being
watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray
over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will
save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he hascommitted sins, he will be
forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you
may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was
a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did
not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven
gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

"If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father,
and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you
forever-- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither
sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be
in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him, He shall see His face with
joy, for He restores to man His righteousness.

But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the one who lifts up my
head.  I cried to the LORD with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill.
Selah I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.  I will not be
afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.
