Biography of Minister Robert Baker
Favorite Scripture: Romans 8:28 NKJV - And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
I was born in Denver but lived in Detroit, Michigan for many years. While living there I developed a love for music, especially Gospel Music. My favorite song is "He Looked Beyond My Faults and Saw My Needs."
I was called to preach while I was in my early twenties. One of my uncles, who was a pastor always said there was something peculiar about me. It took many years to accept my calling.
I was licensed in 1993 and ordained in 1994 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church Agape, where I served in the capacity as Assistant Pastor for several years. I also completed two years at Emmaus Bible College. God led me to LCCC in 2010 and I knew from the beginning that this was where He wanted me to be.
My passion is to minister to the rejects of society, to go and set the captives free, to be used to heal the broken-hearted and preach the gospel uncompromised. I would hope one day to work and develop a prison ministry.
